Why Should I Go On?

A Question Of Hope

Do you remember the 1992 U.S. Dream Team? It was the first Olympics that NBA players participated in, and no other country stood a chance. The NBA was not a global game like it is today. No other country was full of superstars like the U.S. team was. The Dream Team won by an average of 44 points during the 1992 Summer Olympics. During an exhibition game before the Olympics, the U.S. team beat Cuba 136–57. In a postgame news conference, the Cuban coach made the comment “it’s impossible to block the sun with your finger.” No other team in the world could even come close to beating the 1992 U.S. Dream Team.

When God is on your side, you are part of a team that is even more dominant than the 1992 U.S. Dream Team. As you face trials and tribulations, you can have hope because God is on your side. Nothing can stand against you. The list found in Romans 8:38-39 is incredibly conclusive. With God, we win. Nothing can separate us from God. Nothing physical or supernatural. Nothing small and nothing big. Nothing in the past, present, or future. We are winners with God on our side.
