Core Values
FBC Gonzales is becoming more like Jesus every day. Our ultimate goal for every member is to commit to three weekly rhythms: Worship, Join a Group, and Serve.
Giving is a spiritual practice that involves our time, energy, and resources. As giving becomes a habit, it transforms and strengthens us into the hands and feet of Christ for a world desperately in need of hope.
Prayer is central to the Christian life and to the work of ministry. We prioritize prayer because faith demands more than mere knowledge or willpower; it requires relationship, humility, and dependence on Him.
Bible Study shapes believers into disciples who live out Scripture daily. Bible study is an integral part of enabling us to become more like Jesus every day.
Worship is the daily offering of our entire lives to God–our thoughts, actions, choices, and affections. Worship extends beyond Sunday mornings as we surrender to Christ in every area of life throughout the week.
Evangelism is a vital expression of love for God and others. Through evangelism, our faith grows, our dependence on the Holy Spirit deepens, and our understanding of God’s Word expands.
Community is one of our core values because God calls us to treat others with unity, humility, and love. When we let Christ guide our hearts and choose to be grateful, we form a strong, welcoming community where those around us can grow.
