The Flood

We have the longer story of the Flood today, so our devotion will be a little shorter. The part of the story that I want to draw out today is in verse 16. Once everyone was in the ark, God shut the door. What I hope you have noticed as we have studied the first few chapters of Genesis is that God is intimately involved in the story. He breathed life into Adam and created Eve out of his rib. God sewed garments for those two and also protected Cain with a mark. God is with these people in Genesis, and God is with us as well.

We do not serve a God who is aloof and passive. We do not serve a God who created the world and then retreated to watch to see how things would go. We serve a God who is active in the world today. He wants to be involved in your life. Let him be an active part of your life today
